Nora Mayr

Nora Mayr (*1982) lives and works in Vienna and Berlin, is a freelance curator and lecturer at the Node Center for Curatorial Studies. As part of the curatorial team insitu collective, she ran the award-winning project space "insitu" in Berlin-Schöneberg from 2012–2017 and has realised exhibitions at international cultural institutions since 2016. Through theatrical scénographies and visual storytelling, insitu collective is interested in experimenting with curatorial formats and communicating ideas as intuitive and visual or sensory experiences. Additionally, Nora Mayr is co-founder of PROJECT SPACE FESTIVAL BERLIN, which has been running since 2014, and was coordinator of Künstlerhaus Bethanien's International Studio Programme 2010–2013. Nora Mayr studied science of communication and art history at the Universities of Vienna and Utrecht, and wrote her thesis on art interventions in public space.
