The Protest Productions Collective breaks the barriers of the immigration debate with collectively produced clips about overcoming borders and preventing deportations.

The borders are closed. Along the borders: humanitarian disasters, refusal to help and disregard for human rights in the name of a ‘civilised and enlightened’ Europe. Not with us. We clearly reject division and racial classification. Our answer is resistance!

We, the Protest Productions Collective, bring people together: those who are targeted by the Asylum Act, Frontex, visa policies and fences, and those who show their solidarity with the struggles for a freedom of movement.

After our project ‘How to stop a deportation’ in which we showed safety precautions for the prevention of deportations, we have been shooting short films again. These have been collectively created in workshops in a multi-day ‘film lab’. Under the guiding theme We Overcome Borders, participants have creatively processed their experiences and messages. The results are now to be presented in a large screening during WIENWOCHE. Around all these activities hovers our newly created PPC Airline: a symbol that flying in particular, and mobility in general, must be voluntary and in the spirit of Freedom of Movement. Together we make films that transcend boundaries and borders, because we all want to stay ‘together forever’.
