Nora Mayr (*1982) lives and works in Vienna and Berlin, is a freelance curator and lecturer at the Node Center for Curatorial Studies. As part of the curatorial team insitu collective, she ran the award-winning project space "insitu" in Berlin-Schöneberg from 2012–2017 and has realised exhibitions at international cultural institutions since 2016. Through theatrical scénographies and visual storytelling, insitu collective is interested in experimenting with curatorial formats and communicating ideas as intuitive and visual or sensory experiences.  Additionally, Nora Mayr is co-founder of PROJECT SPACE FESTIVAL BERLIN, which has been running since 2014, and was coordinator of Künstlerhaus Bethanien's International Studio Programme 2010–2013. Nora Mayr studied science of communication and art history at the Universities of Vienna and Utrecht, and wrote her thesis on art interventions in public space.

Exhibitions include "Honymoon" Viborg Kunsthal (2020) "I dreamed I was a house", Casino -Forum d'Art Contemporain, Luxembourg (2019); "Fake it Till you Make it", MeetFactory Prague (2018) and "Jenny Brockmann: Open Lab Irreversible Moment", Schering Foundation Berlin (2016).

Alain "Dobrah" Michigan


Alain Dobrah Michigan

Alain “Dobrah” Michigan, native of Martinique, is a dancer, dance teacher, Choreographer, fitness trainer and editor. 

He taught modern dance and choreographed for institutions like The Ballet Academy of the City of Vienna/Austria, MoveOn Dance Center/Vienna/Austria, The New York City Dance School in Stuttgart/Germany, The Performing Art Center of Györ/Hungary, the Deree College and South Eastern College in Athens/Greece for their BFA programs. 

He also performed for dance companies like Wayne Barbaste and Géraldine Armstrong Dance Project, Katja Kavagnac Dance Company, The Quartet Dance Company, La Compagnie du Corail.

He was trained as a dancer at SERMAC/Martinique, AID/Paris, Centre Choréographique du Rouergue et du Quercy/France, The Joffrey Ballet School/New York, The Dance Theater of Harlem/New York.

Currently he is located in Vienna/Austria where he is teaching dance at MoveOn Dance Center, John Harris Fitness Center where he teaches dance as well as fitness Dynamic stretching, choreographs and write for the Magazine on line Pluton Magazine as an editor.

*1982, artist and activist of the independent living movement

Karin Ofenbeck was a member of “Silence Movement” (2008–2011), a contemporary dance company led by Maria Schobesberger. She took part in several performances such as „What is normal?” and „Oasis of resistance”.

She is a dancer in „Every Body Electric“, a production by Doris Uhlich. They have participated in both national and international performances such as Venice Biennale and Fierce Festival in Birmingham.

In addition to being a peer consultant she is also an active member of various independent living organisations. She stands up for the rights of disabled people.

She also participated and organised EU youth projects with the organisation “Youth in progress Austria” which emphasizes on anti-discrimination, disability, intercultural dialogue and European citizenship.
