You cannot avoid being subjective.“We have to realize that the way out to get rid of the fears we feel is to write about these actually insignificant personal problems. Moreover, we must also realize that our problems do not belong to us and are not to be taken personally. When we talk about ourselves, we are also talking about others, because our problems, our pains, our joys, our feelings, even our extraordinary and remarkable thoughts cannot be our own,” says Doris Lessing in the Golden Notebook.I know that there will be women* who will find themselves in me when I explain myself. Women* who have captured my life somewhere. In Austria, where I came as a student, I had to work to earn a living. In addition to this student identity, different jobs allowed me to take on different identities. Dishwasher Dilan*, cleaner Dilan*, advertiser Dilan*, barmaid Dilan*, teacher Dilan*, artist Dilan*, and so on. I realized that the more I share, the more I multiply and become free. For this reason, I decided to frame “Befreiende Evas” project that aims to present emancipation of women* both as a manifestation and a remedy for the fragmentation, deformation and violence of the world today. “Befreiende Evas” is the result of the essentially fragmented identities of women* who appear as whole in official records. Any subdivision, such as “worker, girlfriend, lover, active politician, housewife, mother, etc.”, is not a valid one. These spiritual analyses aim to collect in a loose collage our memories, feelings and thoughts, documents, cut-out newspaper clippings, scenarios, dreams, short stories, artworks, etc., creating an avant-garde form of “Befreiende Evas”.Women* of all classes are invited to contribute to the fanzine. “Every single woman* will place a stone in this project from which the moral structure of the future will be built”, and which aims to be non-sexist as an “identity gateway” in which not only female identity but also different (ethnic, class, ideological, etc.) identities are questioned. In addition, a Golden Day takes place in Turkey, where women* come together every month to talk, relax, have fun, maintain social cohesion, know what is happening around them, invest or meet their financial needs.
