Vienna Design Week

In light of increasing xenophobic and nationalistic tendencies in the media and politics, London-born artist Eugene Quinn says it's time to ask questions about identity, belonging and notion of home. In "How to be Austrian - the citizenship pub quiz," he challenges Austrians to take their own citizenship test. How many of us actually know the questions of the test and could pass it ourselves? Are the questions relevant to our lives? Who wrote them? The concept of a common identity is tested in a pub quiz atmosphere, reflecting on what it means to be Austrian in 2023. 

"How to be Austrian“ was awarded the Erste Bank social design prize 2023 and will take place in exchange / in cooperation with VIENNA DESIGN WEEK.
