WIENWOCHE solidarisch mit Helfer*innen in der Wetterkatastrophe

WIENWOCHE festival welcomes solidarity for those affected by the weather disaster and thanks all helpers

The thirteenth edition of the WIENWOCHE art and culture festival began last Friday. Until 22 September, it presents artistic and activist examples of non-privileged people coming together in solidarity.

As a festival that is committed to living solidarity, WIENWOCHE would like to express its gratitude to all those who have contributed to keeping the effects of the floods and storms as low as possible through aid organisations or neighbourly cooperation. At the same time, WIENWOCHE welcomes the current safety precautions in Vienna and the associated restrictions on mobility. Even if this means the postponement or cancellation of some festival events.

‘We urge our audience to only come to WIENWOCHE events by safe routes and to wear weatherproof clothing. Furthermore, we ask you not to hinder the work of the aid organisations, but to support them with active help and donations,’ said Jelena Micić, Nataša Mackuljak and Araba Evelyn Johnston-Arthur on behalf of the WIENWOCHE management team.
